Fair-Use Policy - Call Tracking
This Fair-Use Policy explains how Yes We Track handles above-average phone calls within call tracking.
The policy is intended as a clear explanation and applies to all accounts where call tracking is active.
Why a Fair-Use Policy?
Within call tracking , call charges are calculated per answered call.
On average, a phone call in the market takes about 3 minutes.
To keep costs fair and predictable for both Yes We Track and the customer, we apply a fair-use limit.
When calls are structurally longer than 3 minutes, charges increase from telecom providers.
The Fair Use Policy prevents these costs from becoming unreasonable or unpredictable.
Fair-use limit
- The fair-use limit is 3 minutes of average talk time per call.
- If the average call duration remains at or below 3 minutes, nothing will change.
- If the average call duration exceeds 3 minutes, an additional fee is applied.
Calculation of the additional fee
When the fair-use limit is exceeded, the additional fee is calculated using the following formula:
(average call duration - 3 minutes) × number of calls × (cost per call answered / 3)
This calculation only compensates for the additional costs incurred when calls are structurally longer than usual.
Example
- Rate per call: €0.20
- Number of calls per month: 9,000
- Average call duration: 4 minutes
Applying the formula:
(4 - 3) × 9,000 × (0.20 / 3) = €600 additional fee per month
Does this occur often?
In almost all cases, the average call duration remains well under 3 minutes.
The Fair Use Policy is primarily intended for exceptional situations where calls are structurally longer than normal.
